I began my teaching career in 1978 retiring from Timberline High School in 2012. I left when I still loved it. I continued in education subbing at the elementary school level the very next fall. 2017 -18 found me teaching 5th grade at Lakes Elementary which tells you I still love it. All three of my children are graduates of the NTPS, one from North Thurston and two from Timberline. Being in education for 40 years I have seen many changes in our community as it grows. The biggest change is the increase in the number of students who are in need. NTEF provides those needy students with increased opportunities while removing the barriers to their success. I am pleased to be working for those students and their teachers who provide them with a quality education.Carletta Garraway
